I went and did a photoshoot for a McGuinty Government announcement this week at Lambton College. You can go to the post to see the photo, but more importantly it was cool to work with the government on a job for the first time and also support the local women that are part of this initiative.

Ontario is helping women in Sarnia and Lambton County who have experienced or are experiencing domestic violence to get training that leads to jobs and greater economic security.

The province will provide $300,000 to the Women’s Interval Home of Sarnia and Lambton through the Domestic Violence Employment Training Program that helps women receive skills training, job placements and support including child care, safety planning and transportation.

The program is part of a $4.3 million investment to help vulnerable women across Ontario.
