Something we have been trying lately at theStory is been doing our teaching with room for conversation to happen amidst the teaching, to interact with each other and the one who is teaching. Bob throws a few thoughts out there on what to expect.

Lots of talk, mourning and shit has gone around about the shootings at Virginia Tech. Two I thought were interesting that I found. Here is Moby’s thoughts. Here is the Transcript of Nikki Giovanni’s Convocation address and a quote from it

We do not understand this tragedy. We know we did nothing to deserve it, but neither does a child in Africa dying of AIDS, neither do the invisible children walking the night away to avoid being captured by the rogue army, neither does the baby elephant watching his community being devastated for ivory, neither does the Mexican child looking for fresh water, neither does the Appalachian infant killed in the middle of the night in his crib in the home his father built with his own hands being run over by a boulder because the land was destabilized. No one deserves a tragedy.

Why a small little missional community is more difficult than a mega church by David Fitch. This is a breath of fresh air.

One of my favourite thinkers and friends at theStory is Dave. Some would call him a hippie and throw all their assumptions about him in that box, but I love to think things out with him and allow ourselves to be challenged, even the hippie views. Here is his thoughts on last Sunday at theStory.
