I’m feeling pregnant this week. So many things are happening, joy and sorrow combined and I just had my mind kept racing back to Paul talking about how all of creation groans and we groan with it. There is no other description for where I am right now, but a constant state of groaning for redemption.
All around us we observe a pregnant creation. The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs. But it’s not only around us; it’s within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We’re also feeling the birth pangs. These sterile and barren bodies of ours are yearning for full deliverance. That is why waiting does not diminish us, any more than waiting diminishes a pregnant mother. We are enlarged in the waiting. We, of course, don’t see what is enlarging us. But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy.
Romans 8:22-25 (The Message)

Yeah you got it right!!!
Being pregnant can be symbolically linked to the gospel that we , the creature are earnestly waiting patiently for the manifestation of the sons of God. Though our outward body may perish due to difficulties and worldly hardship but we are being renewed by our spirit man likewise a pregnant woman who joyously endures the birh pangs till the baby is due to come forth, which in earnest will renew her joy of suffering!
I thought you were looking fat.
